Q: What services can I find on Metro Installer?

A: There is a variety of professionals throughout the site – and more are being added all the time. You can find help in such categories as audio & video systems, cable TV, electrical & appliances, flooring installation, heating & air conditioning, home automation & security, home theatre installation, telephone and networking, plumbing services, satellite TV services, solar installations, and window and door installations.

Q: Can I read reviews?

A: Absolutely! There are reviews left by many people who have had the chance to use the contractors listed on the site. After a service is completed, we encourage everyone to leave a review so that we can grow a community where everyone helps each other.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Absolutely nothing! We believe that you should be able to review leads for free so that you can get the service you desire in your home.

Q: Do I have to provide a credit card?

A: No. We don’t require any kind of payment for the service. When you want to arrange service with a company/contractor that you find, the payment will be arranged directly with them.

Q: What if I don’t find anyone?

A: New contractors are being added all the time. While we hope that you find someone in the area and category that you need, it is possible that people haven’t registered on the site yet. We recommend that you check back often and when you do find someone, if not on this site, that you tell them about Metro Installer.

Q: How do I know who to contact?

A: It is up to you to determine who you would like to work with. Reviews are listed and each company/contractor provides a description of what it is that they do.

Q: What if I’m not happy with the services?

A: We want you to be happy with the services. You are welcome to leave a negative review for a contractor, though be sure to tell them why you aren’t happy and give them a chance to make it right. If you are still unhappy, leave the review you feel is fair. If a contractor continuously gets negative reviews, they will be removed from Metro Installer.

Q: Why should I join?

A: If you want an easy way to find out about contractors in your area without being charged, then Metro Installer is for you.

Q: Why can’t I find personal listings or anything?

A: We have created Metro Installer purely for the purpose of home services. If there is some kind of project you need completed in your home, such as walls being painted or help with your home theatre system, then we have contractors that can assist you.

Q: Why do you need my email address?

A: We ask for your email address so that it’s a way for us to communicate with you. We will send out occasional newsletters and emails of special interest to our followers. Your email address will never be sold or bartered, so you can rest assured that we will be the only ones to use it.

Q: Where are the contractors located?

A: Hopefully wherever you are. We are growing by leaps and bounds every month because contractors from around the U.S. are registering with us. If you don’t see a contractor where you are located, it’s only a matter of time.

Q: How many people are on Metro Installer?

A: The numbers change daily. The last time we checked, thousands of people were visiting our site on a daily basis to try and find a contractor for their home.

Q: I can’t log into my account. What do I do?

A: Please email us at info@metroinstaller.com and we will try to get back to you just as soon as possible.

Q: How do I get my services listed?

A: There is a quick form that you can fill out where you can grow your business. Simply tell us what you do and enter some basic information and we will get you listed on the site.

Q: You don’t offer my category!

A: If you install something for homes and/or businesses and it’s not listed, we apologize. Contact us at info@metroinstaller.com and if we get enough people inquiring about the category, we will add it.

Q: How do I build up more reviews?

A: We recommend that you tell your customers about us and let them come and leave reviews for you on Metro Installer. This allows you to build up reviews faster and potentially get more business as a result of it.

Q: Can I link out to Metro Installer?

A: Absolutely! We have an array of logos that you can “borrow” for your website to make it easier for people to leave reviews and to read reviews about you. You can place them on your site to simplify the whole process. You no longer need a dedicated page on your site for testimonials!

Q: Someone left a bad review for me, what do I do?

A: First, we recommend that you address the issue, not the actual person. There is likely a reason that someone has left you a negative review and it is important for you to determine why it is that it happened. You will be able to leave a comment about a bad review so that others can see it. Think of this as your last chance to convince people that you really are a great contractor and that they should hire you.
